Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Hammers
Starting pitcher Kevin Key gave the Atlanta Hammers a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Washington Nationals, 3-2, in 11 innings. The winner was Atlanta reliever Dan Hicks, now 2-2. The loser was Alejandro Viloria. The Hammers, at 23-30, sit in last place in the National League East Division.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Atlanta left fielder Josh Moore, facing Ken Giles, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Hammers the 3-2 win.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Vince Harrison.
