RubberDucks Sneak Past Mets, 4-3
|
Binghamton got a decent performance from pitcher Luis Manuel Gallegos, but it wasn't enough to beat the Akron RubberDucks. Akron won the Canal Park contest, 4-3. Gallegos threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Akron reliever Ken Jordan, now 1-0. The loser was Dave Hall. Binghamton, at 6-19, is off to a poor start in 2025.
Mario Padilla was the walk-off hero for Akron. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the RubberDucks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Binghamton manager Chris Tremie said, following the tough loss.
