Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Barbiusa and Corpus Christi
The Corpus Christi Hooks started the Round 1 in style, downing the visiting Frisco RoughRiders at Whataburger Field by a score of 6-4 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Hooks left-hander Regis Barbiusa threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball.

Augusto Valentín, the Corpus Christi second baseman, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 5-0, Hooks. For the game, Valentín went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Barbiusa.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi.
