TEX News: Playoffs begin

The Texas League playoffs begin today with the Round 1. For one lucky team, destiny is not far away. Soon one of the playoff teams will win the Round 2 and be honored as the best of the best. In due time, they can have their parade, hoist up that championship banner, and celebrate. It will be the crowning glory of the 2025 season. Here are the clubs that will be in action today:

Breaking TEX News: Regular Season ends

Another season has come to pass and "to the winners go the spoils" -- the lucky ones will be headed for the playoffs in a few days and a chance to win the Texas League title in the Round 2. The envious losers, however, will suffer a long and somber offseason, wondering where it all went wrong and trying to figure out how to do it right.

Northwest Arkansas Befuddled by Manuel in 10-0 Loss

It was a quiet day for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Hammons Field -- a little too quiet. Springfield Cardinals starter Sergio Manuel silenced the Naturals, holding them to 4 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete-game 10-0 win.
"It was frustrating against Manuel today," Northwest Arkansas manager Steve Falteisek said.
The Springfield starting pitcher walked 3 and allowed 4 hits while fanning 6.
Checking out his stats for the season, Manuel has registered 8 wins and 9 losses in 24 starts, posted a 4.48 ERA, and struck out 157 batters in 158.2 innings.
