Fans of the Wilmington Blue Rocks groaned when Joey Roberts stepped up to the plate in the Round 1.

And for good reason too, as the Frederick Keys player was instrumental in guiding his team to a 3-1 series win over the Blue Rocks.

The series was clinched tonight at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, with Frederick coming out on top 11-3 in the deciding game.

Roberts's strong series included a .412 batting average, with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.
