Shorebirds, Intimidators Play 10 to Settle Game 1, Delmarva Now Leads Series 1-0
One game in and the Round 1 is already looking exhausting.

The Delmarva Shorebirds and the Kannapolis Intimidators needed 10 innings to settle Game 1, with the Shorebirds finally taking the 4-3 victory at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. Excelling in the win was Delmarva pitcher Robby Holloway, who threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The Shorebirds and Intimidators are playing a best-of-5 series.

Reginald Ross, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2020 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ross contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the tenth inning to put Delmarva up, 4-3.

"We ground out the win," said Ross. "That's all that matters."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at CMC-NorthEast Stadium in Kannapolis.
