The Winston-Salem Dash got a strong 5.1 innings from right-hander Jon Ward but failed to take Game 5 of the Round 2 from the Frederick Keys. Ward held the Keys to 1 run on 5.1 strong innings but Frederick took the game by a score of 6-3 and now lead the best-of-7 series, 3-2.

Alfredo González helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Keys.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said González.

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at New Winston-Salem Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
