JetHawks Hammered by Reynolds, Drop Game 4 to Blaze
|
Bakersfield second baseman Marc Reynolds was the difference-maker for the Blaze in what turned into a shootout with the Lancaster JetHawks. Reynolds earned accolades after going 5-for-5 in the 6-3 Blaze win. With the victory, the Blaze moved into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Chris Price took Lancaster hurler Phil Perkins deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Blaze on top, 3-2. In all, Price had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 2.
"Every team in baseball loses," JetHawks manager George Lombard said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark in Bakersfield.
