Lancaster Tops Bakersfield
The Lancaster faithful were cheering in the streets, and Bakersfield fans wiping away the tears, after the JetHawks won the Round 2 at The Hanger today.

The JetHawks clinched it by knocking off the Blaze 21-7 to take their 3rd California League crown. Lancaster took the series 4-3.

"This club never gave up all year long," Lancaster manager George Lombard told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did."

On the way to the Round 2 title, Lancaster compiled a 94-46 won-loss record and finished first in the South Division.

"We just didn't play well enough to win," Blaze manager Joe McEwing said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did."
