Brewers Take 2-1 Lead with 3-1 Win
The Milwaukee Brewers moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the Washington Nationals on the road at Nationals Park by a score of 3-1. Brewers right-hander Daryl Scott had a strong outing. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. The win gives the Brewers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 League Divisional Series.

Dave Thomas had a direct impact on the outcome. Thomas contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Milwaukee up, 3-1.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Scott. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nationals Park in Washington.
