Erie second baseman Amilcar Uribe had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Altoona Curve, 8-3. Stu Palmer earned the win. Tim Gray took the loss for Altoona. The win gives Erie a record of 17-9.

Artie Brown drew 1 walk for Erie. The 24-year old right-handed pitcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Tim Gray. It was his 6th walk of the season.

Brown attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
