Slumping Baysox Lose 6th Straight
Reading Fightin Phils starter Chip Patrick pitched effectively against the Bowie Baysox at FirstEnergy Stadium. The left-hander spearheaded his team's 6-5 win. The winner was Tony Martínez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Geoff Stewart took the loss. The Baysox fall to 12-16 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2025 season.

Raúl López was the walk-off hero for Reading. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fightin Phils right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said López. "I just want to win ballgames."
