The Cleveland Guardians downed the Chicago Cubs, 6-4, at Wrigley Field. Giancarlo Stanton led the way, going 2-for-4 for Cleveland. Hunter Harvey got the win, improving to 2-11. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Heath Hembree earned his 15th save in 19 chances.

With Cleveland leading 4-1 in the top of the sixth, Stanton hit a fastball from Severino Gonzalez for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Guardians ahead, 6-1.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Guardians manager Tristan Bugbie. "This one was nice to get."

The win puts Cleveland at 34-50.
