Trenton Loses, 4-2, to New Hampshire in 10
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats clipped the Trenton Thunder, 4-2, in 10 innings at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The standout performance belonged to New Hampshire pitcher and Atascocita, Texas, native Steve Reid. New Hampshire reliever Greg Thomas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mac Ward absorbed the loss. New Hampshire is now 2-2.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for New Hampshire. That's when Ed Simmons hit a 2-run home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Mac Ward to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Simmons told the New Hampshire Daily.
