New Britain laid the wood on Reading at New Britain Stadium.

The New Britain Rock Cats beat the Reading Fightin Phils, 19-3, at New Britain Stadium. New Britain shortstop Jimmy Taylor led the way. He was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. Luis Pérez had a big bases-clearing double for the Rock Cats in the bottom of the first inning.
