Baysox Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
|
Bowie got a strong outing from Elvis Casey as the Baysox defeated the Binghamton Mets, 3-2, at Prince George's Stadium. Casey got the win, improving to 4-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Jesús García was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.
Bowie took a 3-2 lead on Antony Morillo's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Morillo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Binghamton pitcher António Candelária visibly frustrated.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Casey.
With the win, Bowie upped its record to 19-17.
