Late Rally by Fightin Phils Locks Up 8-4 Win
The Reading Fightin Phils dumped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 8-4, in large part due to right fielder Raúl López. On the day, López went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Fightin Phils. Reading reliever Baltesar Covilh picked up the win to move to 1-1. Joel Vallance suffered the loss. With the win, the Fightin Phils sit at 21-18.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Fightin Phils grabbed the lead when López hit his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Joel Vallance made it 5-4, Reading.

Reading manager Shaun Larkin was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
