Akron right-hander Eric Kennedy helped his team edge New Britain by the score of 1-0. Kennedy kept the opposing lineup in check. Chad Cochrane picked up his 2nd save of the season. The loss drops New Britain to 2-2.

The RubberDucks got a big at-bat from left fielder Juan Hernández. For the game, Hernández was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Akron a 1-0 lead.

"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Hernández.
