Erie and Akron duked it out and the SeaWolves came out victorious.

The Erie SeaWolves beat the Akron RubberDucks, 4-2, at Jerry Uht Park. Erie third baseman Jim Duffy had the hot bat. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Juan Vázquez earned the save for Erie, his 3rd of the year.

Mike Walker hit a 2-run double off Walt Ashley in the bottom of the first, which put the SeaWolves in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Walker had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Keith Johnson.

The first-place SeaWolves have won 4 in a row.
