The first-place Portland Sea Dogs picked up another win.

Portland Sea Dogs starter Raúl Lópes found his groove in his team's 7-3 win over the Trenton Thunder. The winner was Lópes. He threw 8.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Matt Tenuta.

Chad Baker was 2 for 4 with a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Portland. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Matt Tenuta. It was his 40th hit of the season.

Baker told a Portland News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Portland is now 30-14, while Trenton is 26-18.
