Behind an impressive start by Kevin Rodgers, Reading beat New Hampshire, 5-1. With the loss, New Hampshire drops to 1-4.

Chris Bailey had a big 2-run double for the Fightin Phils in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Reading leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Ed Buschlen and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fightin Phils ahead, 4-1.

Reading manager Shaun Larkin commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
