Rangers Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, dropping the Minnesota Twins, 4-3, in 10 innings. Lazaro Leyva, who finished 4th in the AL in ERA with 2.96 in 2023, was the difference-maker. The defeat makes Minnesota 62-95.
The decisive blow was delivered by Wes Erickson in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Calhoun to win the game for Texas. The home crowd went nuts.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Erickson said.
