Bisons Take Tight Tilt, 2-1
|
The Buffalo Bisons downed the Pawtucket Red Sox, 2-1, at Coca-Cola Field. Stellar pitching by Damion Carroll had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Buffalo has won 3 straight, while Pawtucket has lost 3 in a row.
The Bisons got a big at-bat from third baseman Rony Cabrera. For the game, Cabrera went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Pawtucket manager Wes Timmons, "let me know."
