Bisons Suffer 6-2 Road Loss
The Syracuse Chiefs rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Clarence Jackson to a win, beating the Buffalo Bisons, 6-2, at NBT Bank Stadium. The winning pitcher was Jackson, now 6-1. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. The triumph puts Syracuse at 24-17 for the season.

Luis Carpio contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. His at-bat helped Syracuse get the win.

"Clarence had swing-and-miss stuff," said Syracuse manager Dave Anderson.
