Columbus Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Zunino
Mike Zunino had a good game, but he could not keep the Columbus Clippers from falling, 8-4, to the Indianapolis Arrows at Huntington Park. The Columbus catcher was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice in the loss. The victory gives Indianapolis a record of 23-18.

Thad Brown had a big 3-run home run for the Arrows in the top of the fifth inning. With Indianapolis trailing 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a splitter from Jim Acosta, who is tied for 6th in the IL in wins with 4, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Arrows on top, 5-3.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Columbus skipper Carlos Garcia said.
