Louisville Bats starter Tony Miles pitched effectively against the Toledo Mud Hens at Louisville Slugger Stadium. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 4-3 win. Louisville is now 18-25, Toledo 30-13.

Had Dan Sheehan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Sheehan hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Bats.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Sheehan said.
