Knights Pin 4-2 Loss on Rochester
|
Charlotte Knights starter Tim Brown turned in an exceptional performance against the Rochester Red Wings at BB&T Stadium, resulting in a Charlotte win, 4-2. Brown, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Jimmy Stanley recorded the save, his 11th.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Ron Lyons didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Rochester trailing 4-2, Lyons retired Kevin Waddell to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Lyons, with a wink.
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Knights.
