The Indianapolis Arrows got a stellar effort from pitcher José Pantoja, helping Indianapolis score a win over the visiting Buffalo Bisons, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Pantoja, now 4-0. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. Jerry Jones closed it out for his 8th save.

The Bisons had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Arrows going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old left fielder Thad Brown came to the plate. Brown hit a 3-run home run on a 1-1 fastball from Buffalo hurler Pancho Maldonado. It was Brown's 2nd home run of the year.

In postgame comments to the Indianapolis Today, Brown said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Indianapolis is now 24-24, while Buffalo is 23-25.
