Buffalo parlayed a decent outing from starter Pierce Johnson into a solid win over the Louisville Bats. The final score was 3-2. Shelby Miller earned save number 3. The win elevated the Bisons to 25-24.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Bisons second baseman Jody Johns hit a changeup from Chris Kohler for a 2-run single. Just like that, Buffalo was up, 3-2.

"Pierce went out and did what we needed," said Buffalo manager Mark Budzinski.
