The Syracuse Chiefs knocked off the Buffalo Bisons, 5-3, in International League action at NBT Bank Stadium. Syracuse pitcher and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native Thom Stevens had an outstanding performance. Aurelio Flores nailed down his 9th save. The Chiefs, now 26-36, have won 6 in a row.

Jesús Saldaña dealt the Bisons a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Syracuse leading 1-0, Saldaña hit a full count changeup for a 2-run single.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Saldaña told the Syracuse Chronicle."The dugout is coming alive."
