Red Sox Get Gritty, 2-1 Win
The Pawtucket Red Sox went home winners at Coca-Cola Field, thanks in large part to starter Héctor Pérez. Pérez stifled the Buffalo Bisons, enabling Pawtucket to grab the 2-1 win. The Red Sox improved their record to 30-32 with the win over Buffalo.

Phil Hopkins, who is tied for 3rd in the IL in stolen bases with 7, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hopkins contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Pawtucket up, 2-1.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Pérez.
