The Norfolk Tides beat the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-1, at Fifth Third Field. José Martínez went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. The 25-year old second baseman was a menace to Toledo all day. The Tides raised their record to 25-39.

With Norfolk leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Martínez hit a fastball from Tim Woods for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Tides ahead, 3-1.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Martínez said after the game.
