The New Britain Rock Cats knocked off the Richmond Flying Squirrels by the score of 7-4. Mario Díaz provided some pop, going 3-for-4 with 2 home runs. The victory gives New Britain a record of 30-24.

With New Britain leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Díaz hit a fastball from Manny Pérez for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rock Cats ahead, 4-0.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Díaz told the New Britain Today.
