In a low-scoring tilt between the Scranton WB RailRiders and the Syracuse Chiefs, 30-year old left-handed pitcher Don Parker was the difference-maker. The Scranton WB left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The RailRiders improved their record to 37-31 with the win over Syracuse.

Jim Cobb was 1 for 2 for Scranton WB. The 32-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Hugh Lemley. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"Don's as tough as he is talented," said Scranton WB manager Chad Jones.
