RubberDucks Handle Reading, Snag 4-1 Win

The Akron RubberDucks got a good effort from starter Eric Kennedy in defeating the Reading Fightin Phils at Canal Park. The final score was 4-1. The win elevated the RubberDucks to 32-22.
António Becerra had a big 2-run double for the RubberDucks in the bottom of the first inning. With Akron leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from José López, who is tied for 6th in the EL in innings pitched with 73.1, and swatted a double to right. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RubberDucks ahead, 3-0.
"Eric has got a slow heartbeat," said Akron manager Keith Johnson. "He doesn't panic or anything."
