Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Omaha Storm Chasers got the win.
In a low-scoring clash between Omaha and Memphis, pitcher Ken Walker was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Storm Chasers win. Aurelio Jiménez was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
It could have been a different outcome for Omaha, had it not been for Al Thompson, the 25-year old shortstop . Thompson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Omaha up, 3-0.
"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Storm Chasers manager Rajai Davis.
Omaha, with the win, is 2-0.
