Sherman Takes PC #1 Pitcher Trophy

In May, the top pitcher in the Pacific Conference was a reliever, thanks to some sensational numbers Eddie Sherman put up coming out of the bullpen.
The Sacramento relief specialist made no relief appearances, picking up no saves and 31 strikeouts in 45.1 innings, and posted a 4-0 mark and a 1.59 ERA.
This season, Sherman has made no relief appearances and has no saves. His record is 8-0 with 54 strikeouts in 72.1 innings with a 1.74 ERA.

Zephyrs Rodriguez Named AC's Best Pitcher

When New Orleans reliever Raymond Rodriguez strolled in from the bullpen in May, it did not bode well for the opposing team. He usually put a quick end to any budding rally. For his excellent mound work he was named the American Conference Pitcher of the Month.
The Zephyrs reliever had 10 saves for the month with a 1-0 record and 1.32 ERA. He made 15 relief appearances, hurled 13.2 innings, yielded 12 hits, fanned 13 and walked 3.
For the season, Rodriguez has 19 saves, tossed 23 innings, fanned 19 batters and produced an ERA of 1.57. He has also been credited with 1 win and no losses.
