The Sacramento River Cats captured an easy win, 13-4, over the Reno Aces at Aces Ballpark. Dave Coleman led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-5 for Sacramento. Dave García nailed down his 1st save. With the loss, Reno falls to 0-2.

In the top of the fifth, Sacramento shortstop Aubert Mozzafiato had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Mozzafiato stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 4-2, Sacramento. For the game, he went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
