The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the Round Rock Express by the score of 15-8, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Magneuris Sierra. Sierra was 4-6 with 4 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Zephyrs on the day. The Zephyrs, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Jeff Kramer was 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for New Orleans. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth.
