Salt Lake Grabs 6-3 Road Win
|
Starting pitcher Mauro Salazar pitched well enough to help the Salt Lake Bees beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 6-3. In 8.1 innings, Salazar surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The loss has the Chihuahuas at 3-2.
Salt Lake used a clutch at-bat from Jesús Milanes to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bees ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Salt Lake manager Tom Prince commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
