Starting pitcher Greg Emery was a major factor in the 4-2 Salt Lake Bees triumph over the Sacramento River Cats. The save went to José Olivas, number 1 for him. Sacramento now is 5-2.

Salt Lake took the lead, 4-2, on Doug Walton's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Sacramento pitcher Pat Bryant in the top of the eighth.

"Greg made some big pitches when he needed to," said Bees manager Tom Prince.
