Woods, Mud Hens Get 1-0 Win
Crowds lined up early in front of Louisville Slugger Stadium, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2026 International League season. On the mound was Tim Woods for the visiting Toledo Mud Hens and Chad Johnson for the hometown Louisville Bats. In a spirited contest, the Mud Hens pulled out the win, defeating the Bats by the score of 1-0. Especially impressive was Tim Woods.

Woods, who leaned on his circle change, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 8 innings for the Mud Hens. For the most part, Louisville hitters were simply overmatched.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Toledo manager Yusmeiro Petit.
