The Pawtucket Red Sox got a sterling performance from pitcher Juan Aguilar, but the Buffalo Bisons still prevailed, 4-3. Aguilar threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Buffalo reliever Matt Barnes picked up the win to move to 1-0. Juan Aguilar suffered the loss. With the loss, Pawtucket drops to 1-1.

Shoba Morse came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This was a good win," said Morse.
