The New Orleans Zephyrs picked up a win at Zephyr Field, taking down the Memphis Redbirds, 3-0. Starting pitcher Raquel Quental was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Quental, now 1-0. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. With the win, New Orleans goes to 7-6.

In the top of the seventh, Bob Wolfe stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Redbirds were trailing 3-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Josh MacCombe made a terrific pitch and Wolfe grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Memphis comeback.
