The Round Rock Express besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Nashville right fielder Rikyu Ichihara by beating the Sounds, 4-3, at Herschel Greer Stadium. Ichihara was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Orlando Otero was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 2 strikeouts. For the Sounds, the loss makes them 6-9.

Luis Villarea had a direct impact on the outcome. Villarea contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Round Rock up, 4-0.
