The Pawtucket Red Sox got a stellar effort from pitcher Tyler Skaggs, helping Pawtucket score a win over the visiting Buffalo Bisons, 5-2. Sam Taylor earned the save, his 2nd, for the Red Sox. The Red Sox, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.

Pawtucket took the lead, 5-2, on Jeremy Vickers's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Buffalo pitcher Sonny Gray in the bottom of the eighth.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Vickers.
