Sacramento pitcher Eddie Sherman did his part in helping his team defeat the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Ron Smith earned the save for Sacramento, his 8th. The River Cats, now 13-5, have been playing some good baseball.

Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Juan Aragón to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the River Cats the lead, 3-1. For the game, Aragón had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.

"I like our mindset right now," said Sacramento manager Carmelo Martinez.
