Bellinger, Chihuahuas Serve Up 10-7 Win
|
Cody Bellinger helped his team muscle past the Reno Aces, 10-7. In the game, the El Paso first baseman went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 7. Michel Deodato closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. Early on, the Chihuahuas, at 15-4, have played an impressive brand of baseball.
With El Paso leading 6-5 in the top of the ninth, Bellinger came up to bat against Reno pitcher Toby White. Bellinger hit a sinker to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Chihuahuas on top, 10-5.
"We maximized our offense today," said El Paso skipper Andy Hayes. "That makes everyone's life easier."
