The Round Rock Express got a superb performance from pitcher Orlando Otero, but the Iowa Cubs still won the game, 5-2. Otero threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Alex Ferguson closed the door for Iowa, picking up his 1st save of the year. The loss lowers the Round Rock record to 12-8.

Kelvin Dennis drove in one run for Iowa. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Junior Gonzalez. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Cubs manager Gera Alvarez.
