Oklahoma City right-hander Randy Delgado pitched his team to victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes at Isotopes Park. The final score was 5-2. Delgado yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-1. With the loss, Albuquerque drops to 14-8.
Arturo Guerrero, who is tied for 9th in the AC in home runs with 2, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Oklahoma City shortstop hit a run-scoring single. That put the Dodgers in front, 2-1.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Delgado.
